Big Christmas Sale

My big Christmas sale is coming up this weekend. It's a studio sale with 11 other artists. This will be held in a convivial atmosphere with refreshments and an opportunity to sit down and visit.

I'll have 2012 Big Blue Bird calendars and new mugs with Our Bird of Guadalupe or Library Bird on them. As always, I'll have all my Big Blue Bird gear, different sized paintings, hand sewn journals and lots of stocking stuffers.

Come see us on Friday, Dec. 16, 5-8 pm; Saturday, Dec. 17, 10 am-8 pm; and Sunday, Dec. 18, 10 am-7 pm at 1432 NE 59th (white house, 2nd on the right, south of Halsey).

Christmas Sales

I have two sales coming up before Christmas. I'll have 2012 Big Blue Bird calendars and *new* mugs with Our Bird of Guadalupe or Library Bird on them. As always, I'll have all my Big Blue Bird gear, different sized paintings, hand sewn journals and lots of stocking stuffers.

The first sale is this weekend, Friday, Dec. 2, 3-9 pm and Saturday, Dec. 3, 1-9 pm. It's the Third Annual Splendorcraft Gift Sale at Splendorporium, 3421 SE 21st Ave. in Portland. There's lots more than just stuff for sale; check out their info: http://www.splendorporium.net/events.html.

This is a donation to the Portland Audubon Society. They’re having a fundraiser called Wild Arts Festival at Montgomery Park in November.
Art Media donated 6 x 6 canvases for artists to check out and make a piece of art. The theme is BIRDS. Perfect! All the 6 x 6 pieces will sell for $40 each at the fundraiser.

Dia de los Muertos show

Oh boy! Three of the Big Blue Bird paintings have been accepted for the Dia show at the Maude Kerns Art Center in Eugene, Oct. 16-Nov. 6: Sugar Skulls, Cemetery Bird and Day of the Dead Shrine. I'm very excited and plan to attend the opening Fiesta Oct. 16 at 6 pm.
